After a period of illness, I’ve returned to work on several projects. They are not all concerned with co-creation or community art: for instance, my main writing project, A Book Worth Burning, is a long-delayed attempt to come to terms with the legacy of the Shoah in my own family and the world. Nor do I have the strength to carry all these projects forward at the same time: A Selfless Art, which I see as a companion and a corrective to A Restless Art, cannot progress until the other book is complete.
Between now and the end of 2027, I will be devoting my time to two main projects:
- Amplify – a new EU funded research project looking at live performance and new technology,
- A Book Worth Burning – a personal response to the continuing effects of the Shoah in the world.
Alongside these, I will continue with A Culture of Possibility, the monthly podcast I host with Arlene Goldbard, work on publishing some past essays, and continue to update this website.
