The speed and depth of the events we are all now living through takes my breath away. Just a month ago, I encouraged readers of this blog to come to Rotterdam to the triennial International Community Arts Festival, truly a landmark in the field. I just learned that the event has been cancelled, one more loss to a cultural and social life that is being turned off like a light switch. My sympathies and good wishes to the ICAF team and to the many artists from across the world who had prepared work to share at the Festival. There is nothing to be done in the face of a storm but take shelter, and help one another.
